A mahogany Edwardian Sheraton revival antique writing desk with a bow fronted central section. The desk stands on 4off square tapering legs with box- wood stringing to the front, the legs terminate with the original ceramic castors. 3off drawers to the frieze area the central one being bowed all with small brass pressed knobs with back plates. The writing area has a green replacement leather skiver with gold tooling around the edge, this is surrounded by mahogany with ebony, bow-wood & satin-wood inlay. The up-stand has 2off small drawers above an open arched area, again with smaller brass knobs & a central original decorative mirror, the top of this area is again mahogany with the same inlay matching writing area. The desk is in excellent condition & a very useful for a laptop etc. Dimensions 41in wide x 21in deep x 39.1/2in high. |

very attractive Edwardian mahogany antique writing desk with inlay &
box-wood stringing. The size of this desk is only 36in wide making it
ideal for the smaller home. The desk is supported on square tapering
legs with box-wood stringing which terminate in spade feet with stretchers
to 3 sides. The main body of the desk consists of a full length frieze
drawer & 2off smaller drawers to each side, all drawers having box-wood
stringing & retain the original drop handles. The top is edged very
attractively with box-wood & rosewood inlay to 3 sides, the top
surface being edged mahogany with box-wood string which surrounds the
tan leather skiver with gold tooling around the edge. The desk is in
excellent condition & very eye-catching. |

19th Century pitch pine writing table with hand made square section
supports. The table stands on its original castors with white ceramic
wheels attached to the superb hand crafted square section support the
top of the legs having decorative inlay. 2off drawers to the frieze with
figured fronts, the frieze also has decorative supports to each side.
The top has a writing area with a replacement leather skiver with gold
tooling around the edge, the outer edge being trimmed with wood & a
canted moulding with a decoration of contrasting wood. This type of table
is very rare & unusual & eye-catching. The table is in good condition & would
